RAWALPINDI – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), under its ongoing Tax Awareness Outreach Initiative, organized a Tax Awareness Session on Income Tax Return Filing for Tax Year 2025 at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Rawalpindi. The initiative aims to promote tax compliance and facilitate taxpayers through education and engagement.
The session was held under the directions of FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member Taxpayers’ Services (TPS) Wing Ms. Tehmina Aamer. The FBR team was led by Mr. Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz, Secretary (Tax Education & Facilitation), accompanied by Mr. Abdul Rehman, Second Secretary (Tax Facilitation), along with other officials from the TPS Wing.
Representing Pearl Continental Hotel, the event was attended by Director Finance Mr. Mujtaba, Director People and Culture Mr. Jawad Khattak, Manager Learning & Development Mr. Hamza Junani, heads of departments, and other staff members.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz highlighted FBR’s role in encouraging tax compliance and strengthening taxpayer facilitation. Mr. Abdul Rehman gave a detailed presentation on the process of filing online income tax returns and the features of FBR’s digital platforms.
Participants actively engaged in the session, raising questions related to tax filing and compliance, which were addressed comprehensively by the FBR team. The attendees appreciated FBR’s proactive approach in fostering a culture of tax awareness, transparency, and public trust.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, followed by the distribution of souvenirs among participants.
FBR reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening voluntary tax compliance through continuous education and outreach activities across the country.
