Islamabad — In a major step toward building a digitally empowered workforce, the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) has launched its Digital Skills Training of Trainers Project, aimed at equipping young professionals with cutting-edge technological expertise.
Digital Skills Project Launched Under PMYP Framework
The initiative begins with an initial cohort of 200 youth trainers who will receive online instruction in high-demand fields such as Artificial Intelligence, E-commerce, Digital Marketing, and Data Analytics. These skills are considered essential for thriving in today’s global digital economy.
Chairman Highlights Vision for a Digitally Empowered Pakistan
Speaking at the launch ceremony, PMYP Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan emphasized that the program reflects the Prime Minister’s commitment to realizing the vision of a Digital Pakistan. He described the project as a transformative step toward preparing youth to lead in the digital age.
International Collaboration Brings Joint Certification from Pakistan and China
The training is being implemented in collaboration with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Uni Services International, and ITMC China. Participants will receive joint certifications from partner institutions in Pakistan and China, enhancing their credibility in both domestic and international job markets.
Trainer-Focused Model Aims to Multiply Impact Nationwide
By focusing on trainer development, the project aims to create a ripple effect—empowering trainers who will, in turn, educate thousands more across the country. This strategic approach is designed to accelerate digital literacy, foster innovation, and reduce the skills gap in Pakistan’s evolving tech landscape.
Strategic Push to Bridge Pakistan’s Digital Skills Gap
The PMYP Digital Skills initiative is part of a broader national effort to promote youth employment, entrepreneurship, and economic resilience through technology. With global demand surging for AI specialists, digital marketers, and data analysts, the program positions Pakistani youth to compete and collaborate on the world stage.
Digital Infrastructure and Human Capital at the Core of Growth Strategy
As Pakistan continues to invest in digital infrastructure and human capital, initiatives like this are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping a future-ready workforce and driving inclusive growth.
