Rawalpindi, Pakistan — Pakistan has strongly condemned what it calls a Bollywood-style war narrative pushed by India’s military leadership, accusing New Delhi of stoking tensions ahead of elections in Bihar and West Bengal.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Indian officials are once again recycling delusional narratives, similar to those used before previous elections, including the Maarka-e-Haq episode five months ago.

“It is saddening to see the military leadership of a nuclear-armed country issuing irresponsible statements under immense political pressure,” the ISPR stated.

The statement warned that such rhetoric could trigger a cycle of jingoism with serious consequences for peace and stability in South Asia. It described India’s recent military press conference as riddled with contradictions, asserting that the claims were not worthy of a formal response.

Pakistan further accused Indian officials of moulding history through Bollywood-style scripts, claiming that India’s leadership has yet to accept its defeat in Maarka-e-Haq. The ISPR added that the global community now views India as the face of cross-border terrorism and a source of regional instability.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s defence resolve, the statement concluded:

“Pakistan’s people and its Armed Forces are fully capable and committed to defend every inch of our territory with full resolve. Every act of aggression will be dealt with a swift, resolute and intense response that will be remembered by posterity.”

This latest exchange underscores the growing strain between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, as Pakistan warns against India’s Bollywood-style war narrative being used as a political tool during election season.
