LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said that the next edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be released in the “best window”.
According to Naqvi, the PCB will soon hold talks with all stakeholders in the PSL 10 window.
It will be difficult to hold PSL 10 with international commitments, but we are ready for it,” he said.
According to sources, PSL may clash with Indian Premier League (IPL) next year.
The PCB has envisioned three windows to hold the PSL 2025, but the most ideal is a clash with the IPL in April and May.
Sources said the PCB is weighing the pros and cons of running the league with the IPL.
The second window is three weeks in February as the event cannot be held in March due to the ICC Champions Trophy hosted by Pakistan. However, they will clash with an ODI tri-series in Pakistan in February that includes New Zealand and South Africa.
The third window is around the Asian Cup in September 2025.
The next consultation in the next year’s PSL window will be at the next council meeting.
