SWAT (SYED SHAHABUDDIN): The Young Peace and Development Corps (YPDC) organized an orientation session and membership drive today at the Youth Development Center, University of Swat. The event aimed to engage students in the Uraan Pakistan mission, led by Planning Minister Prof. Ahsan Iqbal.
The session began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Then, YPDC President Mubeen Abid shared his fellowship journey and experiences. He highlighted the opportunities YPDC provides for personal and professional growth.
Next, General Secretary Niaz Ullah and Vice President Muhammad Shahab briefed students about YPDC’s activities. They explained the goals of Uraan Pakistan and emphasized Prof. Ahsan Iqbal’s vision for empowering youth.
During the membership drive, over fifty students registered to join the Young Peace and Development Corps. They expressed enthusiasm for contributing to projects that unite young leaders and help develop Pakistan.
The organizers thanked the University of Swat for its support. They encouraged more students to participate in upcoming YPDC initiatives. The event concluded with a networking session where students shared ideas and discussed ways to take action.
By implementing Prof. Ahsan Iqbal’s vision, the youth can play a significant role in social, educational, and economic development.
