Residents recall that during the tenure of Assistant Director Tariq Mehmood, beneficiaries received timely updates. Prompt communication allowed thousands of families to benefit. After his transfer, however, the system collapsed, leaving the poor to suffer.

Sources confirmed that although the government releases funds, officials fail to inform the public in time. As a result, significant amounts go back unused. Recently, under the Prime Minister’s assistance scheme, many eligible people in Ghazi lost their rightful support.

Local representatives stressed that Ghazi is already backward and poverty-hit. Yet, the problems of this region rarely reach the authorities. Residents complained that despite door-to-door surveys and scholarship approvals for underprivileged students, disbursement has not begun.

Public circles urged the Chairperson of BISP and the Director General in Peshawar to resolve the BISP system in Ghazi immediately. They argued that poor families must not be deprived of their rights. One citizen explained that children still await scholarships and women lack financial aid. If ignored, these welfare projects will lose their real purpose.
