ISLAMABAD: Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev has engaged in discussions with Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan to strengthen trade linkages and tap the true potential of bilateral trade.
Minister Jam Kamal emphasized the need to explore new avenues and avenues to strengthen trade relations. Minister Jam Kamal appreciated the successful launch of Kino exports to Russia by road and expressed the possibility of further increase in trade in this industry.
Furthermore, he acknowledged the huge potential of the Russian market, which offers rich opportunities for growth and diversification to Pakistani exporters.
During the meeting, Ambassador Khorev invited Minister Jam Kamal to the upcoming exhibitions scheduled for April and July. In an effort to expand business horizons, the ambassador proposed the export of halal meat from Pakistan to Russia.
Minister Jam Kamal highlighted concerns over the visa issues faced by Pakistani truck drivers and prompted the ambassador to ask for immediate suggestions for solutions.
The Ambassador of Russia also expressed the desire of the Russian side to hold the 9th session of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) in Moscow at an early date.
