Women University Swabi medical team treats flood related victims in Buner

Buner: A medical and mental health team from Women University Swabi visited the Peshonaye area of Buner where they treated dozens of male and female victims suffering from flood-related health issues.

The team also distributed drinking water bottles among the residents to meet their urgent needs.

“Women University Swabi will continue to stand with people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in every difficult time,” said Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Ghazala Yasmin while speaking about the university’s role in relief efforts for flood-affected communities.

According to university officials, this initiative is part of a wider relief campaign launched under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor.

Another team of medical experts and psychiatrists from the university is scheduled to visit Buner again on Monday to continue treatment, counseling, and distribution of essential supplies.

Dr. Ghazala Yasmin praised the commitment of the faculty and students engaged in these efforts, adding that Women University Swabi remains determined to link academic excellence with social responsibility.

She emphasized that the university will keep responding to humanitarian challenges and will not hesitate to mobilize its resources whenever needed.
