In my opinion, the KPMG 2023 Future of Supply Chain report offers valuable global insights that strongly resonate with the current challenges and opportunities within Pakistan’s supply chain landscape. The report’s emphasis on ESG integration, automation, and workforce transformation is especially relevant, as Pakistan continues to struggle with infrastructure inefficiencies, climate-related disruptions, and a lack of digital readiness. With growing pressure on key sectors like textiles and agriculture, and increased vulnerability to global trade shocks, the findings underscore the urgent need for Pakistan to invest in technology, enhance transparency, and align with sustainable practices. By adopting the report’s recommendations such as deploying AI, improving traceability, and skilling the workforce Pakistan can strengthen its supply chain resilience and competitiveness in an increasingly volatile global market.

the report highlights the need for strategic investment in innovation, transparency, and sustainable operations. Embracing key recommendations like leveraging AI, enhancing supply chain visibility, and building a future-ready workforce can help Pakistan boost its supply chain resilience and remain competitive in an increasingly uncertain global economy. Thank-you
