At least six members of a family were killed and seven others sustained injuries in a tragic incident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Buner district. Rescue confirmed.
Rescue 1122 Buner responded swiftly, the injured were given first aid and later shifted to Civil Hospital Chamla and subsequently to District Headquarters Hospital Dagar.
According to rescue spokesperson,
Fifty years old Sajida Bibi wife of Muhammad Din
Fourteen years old Samreen
Twenty one years old Aaliya
Twenty three years old Shazia
All daughters of Fareed,
Two and a half years old Tufail son of Fareed and
Fifteen years old Fawad son of Rasheed was dead and
Khushdil son of Tor Sher,
Tufail sonf of Fazal Ahmad,
Fazal Azeem,
Ubaid Ali and
Yasir sons of Fareed,
Faiza daughter of Fareed and
Samawa daughter of Fazal Ahmad were sustained injured.
” The primary cause of the accident was overpeeding which caused the vehicle to go out of control and fall into the ravine,,” Local source said.
Rescue personnel carried out the operation under difficult conditions and managed to save several injured passengers.
Following the incident a large number of local residents and family members of the victims rushed to the accident site and hospitals All the deceased reportedly belonged to the same extended family plunging the entire area into grief and mourning.
