Oath-Taking Ceremony of Tarnol Press Club: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Attends as Chief Guest
Tribute Paid to Journalists for Their Courageous Role in the Recent “Bunyan-e-Marsous” Conflict

The prestigious oath-taking ceremony of the Tarnol Press Club was held in a grand manner yesterday, with Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, as the chief guest.
In his address, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf praised the courageous and responsible role of journalists during the recent “Bunyan-e-Marsous” conflict, stating,
“The media’s positive role in safeguarding the national narrative and raising public awareness is commendable.”
Senior PML-N leader Chaudhry Wajid Ayub, while addressing the ceremony, said:
“We stand shoulder to shoulder with the Tarnol Press Club and will always be there whenever the club needs our support.”
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan, brother of MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan, said:
“The issues faced by journalists, particularly regarding the Tarnol Press Club building, will be discussed with my brother MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan, and we will make every effort to ensure the club is provided with proper premises.”
Other distinguished guests included Haji Javed and representatives from the transporters’ community.
Also in attendance were Chief Editor Sardar Naseem, Mian Muazzam, Najeeb, Dr. Zahir Shah, Dr. Muhammad Asif, along with various political and social personalities.
Representatives of political parties including PML-N, PTI, PPP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and Central Muslim League were present, as well as officials from government departments such as the Education Department, NHA, Police, Union Council, Bomb Disposal Squad, Special Branch, and the Private Schools Association.
Adnan Bari (President, Rawalpindi-Islamabad Working Journalists Association) and his team, along with Abid Abbasi (President, RIUJ), added prestige to the event with their presence.
Stage arrangements were professionally handled by Ishaq Abbasi, Qazi Azhar, Badr Munir, and Qasim Munir. Qasim Munir also played a key role in decorating the venue with floral arrangements and petals, making the ceremony memorable.
The contributions of Asad Zargar were acknowledged for preparing membership cards and managing data.
Participants praised the arrangements as exemplary. Emphasis was placed on keeping any shortcomings or suggestions limited to internal group discussions to ensure continuous improvement.
