On the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) paid tribute to the sanitation heroes participating in the Eid-ul-Azha sanitation operation under the “Sathura Punjab Program”.organized a grand ceremony at the local marquee in Talagang.
In which Parliamentary Secretary for Excise and Taxation MPA Shehryar Awan,Deputy Commissioner Talagang/Chakwal Sarah Hayat,Assistant Commissioner Talagang Rana Safdar Shabbir, along with members of the National and Provincial Assembly, political and social figures, and media representatives, participated in full force.At the event, guests expressed solidarity with the sanitation workers and distributed checks of Rs. 10,000 each to more than 1,400 sanitation workers from Talagang.
The purpose of these checks was to acknowledge the services and dedication of those workers during Eid-ul-Adha, who worked day and night to ensure cleanliness during the days of sacrifice.Parliamentary Secretary for Excise and Taxation Punjab MPA Malik Shehryar Awan said on the occasion that sanitation workers are the real heroes of Punjab. Recognizing their services is a priority of the Punjab government. Under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, such initiatives will continue throughout the province.
Commissioner Rawalpindi, Deputy Commissioner Talagang/Chakwal said that the workers working on the cleanliness front are the guarantors of the beauty and health of our cities. It is our responsibility to appreciate their services. The district administration will continue to patronize those working at the forefront in every field of public welfare. The administration and team of RWMC deserve tribute.District Manager RWMC Raja Muhammad Omar Musaed and Manager Contractor Anas Farooq while addressing the ceremony said that the cleaners are the real architects of our city.
Their continuous hard work during the Eid days kept the city and its surroundings clean. Providing financial support to them is not only an institutional but also a moral duty.
