The international community will must be keep prioritize human rights, peace, freedoms, and equality. Wars are a grave violation of human rights and a suffocation of freedoms. Effective global legislation has become essential to prevent AI-related harassment and ensure its ethical use. These views were expressed by the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, while addressing a ceremony held at a local hotel on the topic: “Safe and Inclusive Media in Pakistan: Opportunities, Challenges, and the Way Forward.”
Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan emphasized that the global community must give precedence to human rights, peace, freedoms, and equality, as wars are a violation of human rights and a suppression of liberties. He was addressing a ceremony themed “Dialogue on Safer and Inclusive Media in Pakistan: Opportunities, Challenges, and the Way Forward.” While speaking on the situation of Gaza, the Speaker stated that entire families have been martyred as well as the schools and hospitals destroyed, and there is a severe food crisis. He criticized the double standards of the international community, stating that when Israel attacks, it is termed as defense, but when Palestinians stand in self-defense, they are labeled as terrorists. Speaking about Pakistan-India relations, the Speaker said that Indian media incited war hysteria without considering that both countries are nuclear powers. If a war had erupted, it would have resulted in devastating consequences. He appreciated the then role played by U.S. President Donald Trump during that critical time.
He added that while the DG ISPR was sharing information during the war, such RAW facilitators has been arrested from Jhelum and the funding of terrorist acts in mosques, schools, and Imam-Bargahs by Kulbhushan Jadhav, Pakistan was still blamed for the Pahalgam incident. However, Pakistan gave a strong response to Indian aggression, where both political and military leadership showed exceptional wisdom. On the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Speaker stressed that effective global legislation is now unavoidable to prevent AI harassment and ensure its ethical use. If AI is left unregulated, its consequences could be extremely dangerous. He noted that although it may not be possible to regulate AI completely, it is absolutely essential to counter its negative aspects.
