Swat Witnesses Multiple Fatal Incidents: Five Killed, Several Injured in Violence

Swat district has been shaken by a series of violent incidents and a tragic road accident, leaving at least five people dead and five others sustained injuries in different parts of the district. Police confirmed. According to police officials, a severe collision took place on Kanala Road in the Gwalerai area of Matta Tehsil, involving a motorcycle and a Fielder car. The accident claimed the lives of two teenage motorcycle riders 16-year-old Hafiz Quran student Hayatullah, son of Usman Ghani, and 14-year-old Hafiz Quran student Gohar Ali, son of Sher Ali, both residents of Kanala. The driver of the car, identified as Gohar Ali, also from the area, sustained injuries and was immediately shifted to a local hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case against the car driver and initiated further investigations into the circumstances of the accident.
In another disturbing event, an old feud between two rival groups in Chenala (Durushkhela) area of Matta Tehsil, escalated into violent conflict.
Police reports state that the confrontation involved the use of knives and sticks, resulting in the death of 43-year-old Fazal Wahid, son of Sher Afzal Khan, while five others sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for medical care. Police have identified several suspects-members of the opposing factions including Fam Jan, Rahim Zada sons of Lali, Saleem, Shah Zaman, Ameer Zaman, and Numan residents of Chenala.
A formal FIR has been lodged and investigations are ongoing to bring the culprits to justice. In a tragic case of domestic violence, police reported that in Senay village near Fatehpur of Khwazakhela Tehsil, a man named Haseebullah, son of Umar Zada, in collusion with his son Asad Khan and five others, opened fire and fatally shot his own father Umar Zada and brother Arshad Khan. The victims succumbed to their injuries on the spot. The deceased were taken to Khwazakhela Hospital for postmortem examination. SHO police station Fatehpur, Muhammad Ayaz said the murders were the result of longstanding family enmity and ongoing disputes. A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.
