Aftab Hussain (Shangla)
A tragic road accident occurred in the Alpuri tehsil of Shangla district, resulting in the loss of two lives and leaving three others injured.
According to Rescue sources, the jeep’s brakes failed, causing it to plunge into a deep ravine in the village of Kas Asharand, Union Council Lilowani. Two women lost their lives on the spot, while three others were injured.
The injured were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Alpurai, where one of the critically injured was later transferred to Saidu Sharif Hospital in Swat.
Rescue officials stated that upon receiving the distress call, Rescue 1122 Shangla’s medical team, along with two ambulances, rushed to the scene. The rescue team provided initial medical aid to the injured and shifted them to the hospital.
The deceased women were identified as Ms. Sh and Ms. R. Their bodies were handed over to their families.
The condition of one of the injured is reported to be critical.
