Rawalpindi: Pakistan’s security forces eliminated 19 Indian proxy militants during a high-intensity intelligence-based operation in Orakzai District overnight on 7/8 October. The operation targeted members of Fitna al Khwarij, a group linked to Indian-sponsored terrorism, following confirmed intelligence reports of their presence in the area.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops engaged the militants with precision, resulting in their deaths. However, the clash claimed the lives of eleven Pakistani soldiers, including two commanding officers who led the mission from the front.

Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq (39) and Major Tayyab Rahat (33), both residents of District Rawalpindi, embraced martyrdom while fighting gallantly. Their leadership and sacrifice remain a source of national pride.

Following the engagement, sanitization operations began to clear any remaining threats. ISPR emphasized that Pakistan’s forces remain committed to eliminating Indian proxy militants and restoring peace in affected regions. “Such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve,” the statement read.

Amid rising threats of hybrid warfare and cross-border infiltration, this operation reinforces Pakistan’s counterterrorism strategy. The nation continues to mourn its martyrs while standing united against foreign-sponsored militancy.
