A vibrant 14-day sports festival, organized by Frontier Corps North and Dir Scouts, has commenced. Balloons were released into the air to mark the inauguration of the festival. The Pakistan Sports Festival features competitions in cricket, volleyball, football, tug-of-war, and various other games.A total of 31 teams from Lal Qila Maidan are participating in the festival, with over 600 local athletes showcasing their talent. Residents expressed joy over the 14-day sports festival being held in Lal Qila Maidan. On this occasion, citizens and players celebrated by performing traditional dances to regional songs in celebration of the festival.
The event witnessed the presence of senior military and civil officers, local representatives, community elders, and a large number of spectators. Brigadier Sanaullah, Commandant of Dir Scouts, inaugurated the festival.Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Lower Dir, Muhammad Arif Khan, stated that complete peace prevails in Lal Qila Maidan, and today’s Pakistan Sports Festival is proof of it. He also announced that more sports events will be organized in the coming days. During the event, the trophy of the Pakistan Sports Festival was unveiled, and players had the opportunity to take pictures and introduce themselves to the chief guest, Brigadier Sanaullah.
