The world’s largest gold deposit has been discovered in Henan province, China.
According to international media, the discovered deposit is being regarded as potentially the largest in the world, containing an estimated 1,000 metric tons of high-quality gold.
Reports indicate that the value of this gold deposit in Henan is estimated to exceed $83 billion. Initial investigations have revealed approximately 300 metric tons of gold at a depth of 2 kilometers, with expectations of finding more reserves at greater depths.
The local geological bureau estimates that additional reserves may be found at depths of up to 3 kilometers. If confirmed, the total value of the deposit could reach $83 billion.
According to Mining Technology, prior to this discovery, the world’s largest gold reserves were located in South Africa, Indonesia, Russia, Chile, the United States, and other countries.
