Female students from various departments of Women University Swabi, including Journalism, Political Science, Management Sciences, Urdu, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Pakistan Studies, and Microbiology, participated in an interactive session with DG ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in Peshawar.
Ms. Ayesha, Lecturer of Political Science, and Ms. Faryal, Deputy Director of the Youth Development Center and Head of the Journalism Department, along with Additional Director of Public Relations and Publications, Waseem Khattak, accompanied the students.
During the session, the students were briefed on the current situation of Pakistan, the role of media and social media in promoting peace within the country, the global scenario, and Pakistan’s position. Students from various universities also participated in the event and raised important questions regarding the war on terror and the political situation in the country, to which DG ISPR responded in detail.
DG ISPR, Ahmed Sharif, emphasized the need for practical steps by the Pakistani government to support the development of young people. He stressed the importance of mutual support for survival and growth, highlighting that providing opportunities to young graduates is crucial for the country’s progress.
The session provided Women University Swabi students with greater insight into national and international affairs and gave them the opportunity to ask questions, enhancing their knowledge. The students found the session to be informative and encouraging.
