South Waziristan: Wana Welfare Association (WAWA) observed Labor Day on Tuesday day with great fanfare in 18 private and government schools of Lower South Waziristan district.
WAWA members encouraged students and teachers of different schools on Labor Day and gave separate short speeches on labor day.
Rehmat Ullah Wazir, president of Wana Welfare Association, (WAWA) told Dawn that the purpose of Labor Day is only to increase the tendency of people to work hard and to make people realize their hard work.
President Rehmat UllahWazir said
that before we only knew about the Labor Day holiday.
He said that the Wana Welfare Association now gave a message to the people of the area that we are nothing without hard work.
Ghulam Hussain Wazir, Principal of Government High School Wana, said while speaking on the occasion of labor Day that hard work is a key to success no one can progress without hard work.
Uma Children’s Academy, Wana a private educational institution run under the supervision of Wana Welfare Association, (WAWA) also observed Labor Day with great enthusiasm.
Assistant Commissioner Wana Faisal Ismail also participated in the function organized on labor Day by WAWA.
In his address to the students, Assistant Commissioner Wana said that hard work is essential for development, without hard work you cannot do anything.
AC said that in this modern era, we all need hard work so that we can compete with the rest of the world by working hard.
