ISLAMABAD: All-rounder Mohammad Wasim Jr has opened up about the invaluable advice given by former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir during his stint with Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9.
Drawing on his experience, Wasim Jr highlighted Amir’s consistent guidance on bowling strategies. “Amir consistently drives bowling strategies and emphasizes the importance of wickets. His confidence adds value to our bowling efforts.”
“Bowling in Pakistan requires more than just pace; having skill is essential,” he added.
Acknowledging the challenges of playing in the PSL as a rookie, Wasim Jr stressed the importance of performing well in the league to secure a coveted spot in the Pakistan national team.

“Performing in the PSL is crucial to secure a place in the Pakistan national team for new players. The environment at Quetta Gladiators is excellent, they are a new team,” he added.
Wasim Jr, who has identified himself as an all-rounder, has expressed his commitment to contribute in both batting and bowling.
“I consider myself a bowling all-rounder, I try to contribute both in batting and bowling. I adapt my game to the situation in the team,” he claimed.
“Besides being fast, having different skills is essential. I don’t see myself as a specialist in Pakistani conditions specifically. The skills along with maintaining good pace are essential to be successful in bowling,” he asserted.
