Tarbela Ghazi: General Manager WAPDA (TI&E) Ali Anwar Brero emphasized that sports and positive recreational activities instill discipline, healthy competition, motivation, and self-control among children. He encouraged students to actively participate in both academic and sports activities, making a name for themselves, their institutions, and the country. Engaging in sports, debates, and various extracurricular activities boosts students’ confidence and prepares them for provincial and national-level competitions.
He expressed these views while addressing the closing ceremony of the ongoing Sports Gala at WAPDA Postgraduate College, Tarbela Dam. General Manager WAPDA (Training Institute & Education) Ali Anwar Brero was the chief guest at the final event. The Sports Gala featured competitions in badminton, 100-meter and 200-meter races, tug-of-war, cricket, and other sports. A cricket match was also played between GM Green and GM (W) teams.
The closing ceremony was attended by Chief Engineer (Civil) Tarbela, Riaz Khalid; Chief Engineer (O&M) T-4, Muhammad Tariq; SE Services & D&I, Ansar Ali; heads of Tarbela Dam’s educational institutions, including Naseem Khan and Jameel Anjum; AD Public Relations, Javed Iqbal; along with teachers, parents, and students.
During the event, the college principal, Kamran Khalid, presented the annual performance report. The chief guest, GM Training Institute & Education, Ali Anwar Brero, distributed trophies among students who achieved top positions in the Sports Gala.
