LAHORE: Quetta Gladiators spinner Usman Tariq has been cleared to resume bowling during the current ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Usman will now be eligible for selection in the team’s final league match against Multan Sultans on Tuesday at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
After a review of his bowling action at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, Usman was cleared to resume bowling.
However, he must remain vigilant as any subsequent report from the umpires about his activity will result in him being banned from bowling until he successfully undergoes testing to correct the problem.
Usman’s action was initially flagged during a match against Karachi Kings on 6 March, with on-field umpires Richard Illingworth and Asif Yaqoob officiating.
It is worth noting that despite the setback, Tariq managed to secure two wickets in three matches during the ongoing PSL 9.
