The United States is experiencing a lack of nurses and other healthcare professionals and creating new opportunities for Pakistani qualified nursing experts to fill the gap. Progress has been sent in sending qualified nursing experts from Pakistan to the US, as stated at a recent online meeting between officials from Pakistan’s embassy in Washington, American diplomats, representatives of the state assembly in New York and members of the US Pakistan Committee Committee (Appac ). The meeting held on Tuesday was attended by the Pakistani Ambassador in the US, Rizwan Saeikh, Aamer Aamer Aamer Atozai and Attaché Community Social Security at the New York Consulate. The New York Assembly was represented by vice -president Phil Ramos and Christian Macario. Chairman of Appac Dr. IJAZ AHMED and President Appac Dr. Parvez IQBAL. Vice President Ramos has recognized the importance of setting tests in Pakistan, allowing nursing students to pass their tests on the domestic market. The proposed test is a computer test that evaluates the readiness of nursing graduates for professional practice. Ramos emphasized the growing demand for qualified healthcare workers in the US and expressed interest in the role of Pakistan in dealing with this deficiency. Ambassador of Rizwan Saeed Sheikh described this development as an important milestone and stressed that he would reduce the financial burden and encourage more experts to participate in the initiative. He also emphasized the need to harmonize recruitment and immigration processes with local healthcare requirements and ensured an effective supplier chain for qualified nurses. Appac has outlined its key role in facilitating this cooperation, including assistance in a planned visit to Pakistan Ramos in Pakistan. Participants agreed that the lack of sector in the US is a valuable opportunity for Pakistani professionals. They also decided to organize regular subsequent meetings to ensure smooth progress. Dr. Ijaz Ahmed appreciated the collective effort of the Appac team and called this initiative a milestone in relations in the US-Pakistan. The newly distinct President of Appac, Dr. Parvez IQBAL, emphasized the growing demand for medical professional in North America. He stressed that this initiative allows Pakistan to train and export his medical workforce that benefits the US medical system and Pakistani experts looking for global career opportunities. According to Appac, this initiative is a key step in Pakistan’s contributions to the global medical community, reflecting the vision of the committee and the effort to cooperate.
