UPPER DIR: The journalist community of Upper Dir District, have strongly condemned the resolution presented in the provincial assembly against senior journalist and vice president of Peshawar Press club.
It is mentioned that four days ago, a resolution was presented in the provincial assembly against senior Peshawar journalist and Vice President of Peshawar Press Club Irfan Khan.he is a well-known and senior journalist who performs his duties honestly, the Dir Press Club and the Dir Union of Journalists Upper Dir , have strongly condemned the resolution presented in the assembly.
The Upper Dir journalist community considers this resolution an attempt to curb press freedom and stifle the voices of journalists. Journalists are the eyes and ears of society, and they represent the people without any personal agenda. They raise their voices against corruption and social issues, and often face intimidation and persecution from politicians, rulers, and powerful individuals.
On this occasion, senior journalists Syed Zahid Jan, Dawood Wardag, Hazrat Hussain, and Muqaddam Khan said that the journalist community will never accept such actions and will continue to write against injustice, corruption, and oppression. They will stand shoulder to shoulder with their colleague Irfan Khan from Peshawar.
