SWAT: An open day was convened at the Institute of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Swat, for the audience of the student seeking admission at the University of Swat.
The event was hosted by the faculty and students of the ICHTHM today on 18/09/2024. A stall of the Cultural Heritage, and Ethnological materials was also organized for the education, guidance and amusement of the newcomer students to the University of Swat.
The students took interest in the Ethnological and cultural collection acquired by the ICHTHM from various parts of the Swat valley. and asked various quarries from the In-Charge of ICHTHM and senior students of Archaeology, Tourism and Hospitality.
The students also visited the Archaeological and Ethnological Museum, and the Food & Beverages Laboratory of ICHTHM.
Meanwhile, University of Swat held an Open Day on the directive of Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.Hassan Sher, aimed at prospective students. Enrolled students set up information desks to assist newcomers, alongside cultural and food stalls. Prospective students visited various departments to inquire about Fall 2024 admissions and engaged in discussions with faculty members and current students.
Additionally, several key figures, including Prof. Dr. Anwar Hussain (Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Management), Prof.Dr. Najeeb ur Rahman (Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences), Dr. Muhammad Tariq (Director of QEC), Dr. Arshad Ali Khan (Controller of Examination), and Assistant Prof.Fida Hussain (Provost of the University of Swat), visited all the stalls and commended the efforts of the faculty members and students..
