SWAT: The Society for the Promotion of Social Sciences, Social Welfare, and Awareness, University of Swat, celebrated Pakistan Day (March 23) with zeal and commitment. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Ms. Tanzeela Abdul Qayyum (BS Sociology) followed by a solemn Guard of Honor, Flag Hoisting ceremony, and seminar.
The Hon. Vice Chancellor, of the University of Swat (Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, SAARC Gold Medalist) graced the events as Chief Guest, whereas, The Resource Person (Dr. Sarfaraz Khan, Assistant Professor) highlighted that Pakistanis’ collective psyche and historical narrative, of Pakistan’s Day is of great importance.
This day marks the anniversary of the Lahore Resolution’s adoption in 1940, which set the stage for Pakistan’s establishment as an independent country for Muslims living on the Indian subcontinent.

Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, the chief guest, said that Pakistan is navigating a quickly shifting global environment, which is why this year’s festivities have extra significance. It’s a time to reflect, come together, and stand as a team to face the opportunities and challenges ahead.
