Atlanta: Donald Trump launched another attack on Joe Biden on Saturday, citing an influential gun team, warning that his “unwashed” opponent in the state of Georgia was a threat to US democracy.
Trump was in Dallas, Texas, where he received support from the politically powerful National Rifle Association.
In a response to thousands of NRA members, Trump called Biden “the worst president in the history of our country” and called Democrats “bullshit.”
“You’re fired, get out of here Joe!” to laughter from pro-gun supporters, who said Biden was coming for his guns.
Trump, who faces multiple criminal charges related to attempted rigging of the 2020 election and two impeachments as president, called Biden “crooked” and a “threat to democracy.”
Trump said: “If he was a Republican, they would give him the ‘electric chair.’
Meanwhile, Biden has sought the support of African-Americans, a key element of his coalition, focusing on Georgia, a southern state that the Democrats won in 2020.
“Our democracy is really on the line,” Biden told supporters at the Mary Mac Tea Room at the Black Restaurant in Atlanta.
“My opponent didn’t lose either.
Biden said something was wrong with Trump after the election.
“People, Trump is running to lead America. He is running for revenge.”
Over the weekend, Biden was scheduled to address students at Morehouse College, a historically black university.
