UPPER DIR: Two Persons were drowned in the River Panjkora in Wari area of Upper Dir here on the other day . One body has been recovered, while the rescue search for the second body is on progress .
According to Rescue spokepers Upper Dir Ibrahim Khan, the incident was occured in the Wari area of Upper Dir, where two youngman went missing while bathing in the Panjkora River at wari . when people informed the rescue official, Rescue 1122 team, Civil Defense, and Al-Khawan Foundation volunteers rushed on spot and launched a rescue search operation to rescue the drowned people inbriver Panjkora . The official Upper Dir official said that On Friday evening, has been recovered the body of one person, as identified as Zahir Khan of kass Chapar , from the Panjkora River near the Sacha Meera at Khal lower Dir,he added.
However, the search for the second missing person, Shahriyar, a young man from Peshawar, body is still missing.
Local residents said that one of the drowned individuals, a young man, was trying to save his friend when he himself fell into the river and drowned. The body of the second oerson, Shahriyar, has not been recovered yet. The search operation by Rescue personnel, Civil Defense volunteers, and Al-Khawan Foundation volunteers is on progress the second day too.
