Islamabad: In the first 10 months of this financial year, the number of tractors assembled in the country increased by 54.72 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to data provided by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PMA), during July-April 2023-24, more than 39,564 tractors were assembled compared to 25,571 tractors produced in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, local tractor sales registered a growth of 56.61 percent as 38,282 tractors were registered in the first 10 months of this fiscal, compared to the sale of 24.44 tractors in the same period last year.
According to data, Massey Ferguson remains the top producer of tractors because it produced about 25,748 tractors, produced 16,090 tractors and sold 25,138 units compared to sales of 14,981 units in the same period last year.
Fiat is another company that produced around 13,798 tractors in the last 10 months of this fiscal, compared to 9,481 tractors in the same period last year, while Fiat sales were recorded at 13,144 tractors. 9,463 tractors were sold during the same period last year.
