The Indian Lok Sabha has been informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre identified over 1,700 Skype IDs and 59,000 WhatsApp accounts involved in digital fraud.
According to Indian media, as of November 15, 2024, the government has blocked more than 600,000 SIM cards and 100,000 IMEIs.
The Indian minister stated that the Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System, launched in 2021, quickly identifies financial fraud to prevent fraudulent activities.
