UPPER DIR : The Fisheries Department released thousands of trout fish in the River Kohistan Kumrat. According to fisheries department, on the other day , officers of the Fisheries Department, including Deputy Director Dir Bala Bakhit Zaman, Director Fisheries Headquarters Muhammad Ilyas, District Officer Fisheries Lower Dir Sajjad, and Extension Field Officer Dir Bala Wali Khan, along with local notables, released trout fish in the River Kohistan Kumrat.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director Bakhit Zaman said that Kumrat is a suitable place for trout fish, where the department releases thousands of trout fish every year, resulting in excellent outcomes. He appealed to local people to cooperate with the Fisheries Department to eradicate trout fishing, as a complete ban has been imposed on fishing. Strict legal action will be taken against those involved in illegal fishing.
Local notables assured the officers of the Fisheries Department of their full cooperation.
