The Third International Conference on Emerging Trends in Social Sciences has commenced at Women University Swabi, scheduled to run from July 7 to 9, 2025. The first two days of the conference are being held online, while the third and final day will feature physical sessions at the university’s main campus. The event is being organized in collaboration with the Global Institute of Social Sciences Research (GISSR) and is witnessing participation from a large number of international and national scholars, academics, and students.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmin stated that, “The participation of international scholars and researchers not only opens new avenues for research and knowledge-sharing but also provides our students with opportunities to learn and grow at a global level.” She further emphasized that such conferences play a vital role in the development of academic institutions, improving research quality, and promoting international academic collaboration.

Prominent international keynote speakers participating in the conference include Prof. Dr. Spencer James (Brigham Young University, USA), Dr. Jane Rose Njue (Northern Illinois University, USA), Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akif Buyukbese (GIST University, Turkey), Dr. Shaimaa Akin (Necmettin Erbakan University, Turkey), and Dr. Gökhan Bozbash (Institute of Global Studies, Shanghai University, China). These scholars delivered keynote addresses focusing on the latest trends and global challenges in social sciences.

The conference is being supervised by Vice Chancellor Dr. Ghazala Yasmin, while the Chief Organizer is Mrs. Raheela Begum, Head of the Department of Psychology. Other key organizers include Dr. Raisa Bano (Registrar), Ms. Sundas Saba (NESCOM Hospital, Islamabad), and Ms. Fatima Awan.
The three-day event includes the presentation of research papers covering areas such as psychology, sociology, education, political science, economics, religious studies, and Pakistan studies. In addition to online sessions, the final day will feature poster presentations, networking activities, and research workshops. Participants will receive certificates of participation and will also have the opportunity to publish their research in the official Journal of Social Sciences Research & Policy
