Israel’s brutality continues in Gaza but human rights organizations such as the OIC (a representative of organization of Arab world) United Nations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have kept a criminal silence against it. Because of this Israel is increasing the hardships on the oppressed Palestinians day by day and now he has tightened the blockade of Palestine due to which the Palestinian nation has been forced to starve.
Now the atrocities of Israel have increased to such an extent that its biggest ally united states has also started disagreeing with its policies. Recently the US ambassador has described Israel’s starvation policy in Gaza as unacceptable. An emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on the situation in Gaza was held at the request of Great Britain, France and Algeria. Speaking at the meeting the US ambassador said that Israel’s starvation policy in Gaza would be terrible and unacceptable. This policy will have implications under international and US law.
According to the US ambassador food and other aid should be delivered to Gaza immediately while there should be pauses in Gaza for immunizations, delivery and distribution of humanitarian aid. Joyce Masaya the acting head of the United Nations regarding aid to Gaza said in the Security Council meeting that the situation in Gaza is unbearable even the UN aid agencies are not being given access. Regarding the atrocities of Israel, the Palestinian Permanent Representative said that the Palestinian and Lebanese people are paying the price of concessions to Israel while its attacks are war crimes and should be stopped.
According to the chines reprehensive Israel has provided more than $17 billion in military aid, so the Council should revive and protect the prospect of a two-state solution and a cease-fire in Gaza on implementation of Security Council resolutions.
In this regard the UN agency also have concerns while the United Kingdom and France have also demanded that the UN agency UNRWA should be granted access to provide aid in Gaza. The Israeli ambassador who participated in the Security Council meeting said that Hamas is using the humanitarian situation as a weapon but he does not see that Hamas is fighting for freedom against Israel’s brutality and illegal occupation of Muslim lands.
Therefore if humanity is being used as a weapon by them, there is nothing surprising in it, but it is necessary that all the major countries belonging to the European Union and united states should Protest the behavior to the Israeli leadership and force them at least to stop the starvation in Gaza as it is considered a serious crime.
If Israel continues to fight against Hamas its actions should also be limited to Hamas. Attacks and blockades on journalists and activists belonging to human rights organizations are a serious violation of human rights. On the other hand, the organization that should be criticized the most for this inhumanity of Israel is the OIC, the representative organization of Muslims which has not yet done its role which is very sad. In the context of the current situation it is now necessary that the Arab countries use their petro-bombs against Israel to put pressure on Europe and united state if Israel is not stopped from these inhumane actions and war crimes inside Gaza. So they will stop the sale petroleum to Europe and United States. It should be remembered that until the countries belonging to the Arab League do not talk about the crimes of Israel then it will continue its brutality as it is.
Now it has to be seen what new measures the United Nations and the OIC itself take against this brutality of Israel. So far they have failed to fulfill their roles in the current situation.
