Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Thursday warned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur against “attacking” Islamabad.
In a press conference in Islamabad, Chaudhry said, “KP CM talks about attacking the city of Islamabad. Another time he [Gandapur] said protest is our constitutional right. Citizens of Islamabad also have constitutional rights.”
“You cannot be allowed to take away the constitutional rights of citizens. If Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declares, you cannot even enter [Gandapur] Islamabad,” said Chaudhry.
Gandapur should take steps to prevent electricity theft in the province,” he said.
A few days ago, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that “Gandapur’s attitude reflects the culture of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)”.
“A handshake with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is the need of the hour for the country,” Khan said in a press interview in Lahore.
He thanked the PPP leader for being nominated as Governor of Punjab. “Not a PPP employee, a person will get respect in the municipality,” he said.
“Considering that the PTI founder did not win the majority, it would be better if he was accepted in the opposition.”
