Islamabad: Omar Ayub wants to release Imran Khan as a condition of PTI-PML-N talks
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Omar Ayub said in the National Assembly session that talks with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) can be held only after the release of Imran Khan and the arrested party members.
The opposition leader said this in response to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s speech in Parliament.
National Assembly Speaker Omar Ayub joined in as he spoke, pleading with him to maintain decorum, but the opposition leader insisted on his right to respond.
Ayub said PTI members attended Kulsoom Nawaz’s funeral but said they could not attend their father’s funeral.
He invited PTI members Minasmin Rashid, Mian Mehmudur Rashid and Hasan Niazi to confess to the rape.
The speaker admitted that Ayub had spoken, but said opposition leader Imran Khan was being held on death row and that the former prisoner had access to air conditioning.
