SWAT: 7 more accused involved in the Madyan incident were detained. After which the number of arrested persons has reached 42. The anti-terrorism court has rejected the bail request of 35 accused.
Head of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) / SP Investigation Swat Badshah Hazrat Khan said that the police have arrested 7 more suspects named in the case of Madayn tragedy on June 20. The seven arrested accused were produced in the special anti-terrorism court at Saidu Sharif. Judge Shaukat Ahmad Khan has handed over 5 accused to the police on four-day physical remand, while two accused have been sent to District Jail Swat due to their minor age.
After which the number of accused persons who have been arrested out of the 49 accused nominated in the FIR has increased to 42 and the arrest of 7 accused persons is in progress.
He said that the help of CCTV footage and videos shared on social media is also being taken to find other persons involved in the FIR.
On the other hand, the anti-terrorism special court has rejected the bail application of 35 people who were arrested and taken to jail in the Madyan tragedy. The accused filed an application for bail in the court.
