QUETTA: A Baloch woman, Adila Baloch, who was arrested in Turbat for planning a suicide attack, has revealed that terrorists blackmail and manipulate Baloch women to commit such acts. At a press conference in Quetta, she described how she was lured under false promises to join terrorist groups. Adila, a registered nurse who leads a project with the World Health Organization, shared her story of how she was duped by extremist elements. “My job was to help people and save lives. Unfortunately, I was led astray by those who led me astray,” she said. She admitted that the terrorists convinced her to carry out the suicide attack without considering the innocent lives that would be lost. “They showed me false hopes of a new and happy life,” she explained, adding that once she joined them, she realized life in the mountains was nothing but hardship. Adila further revealed that she was not the only one misled by the terrorists. “Similarly, other Baloch youth, both male and female, were washed away,” she noted. She also clarified that the narrative of Baloch women voluntarily becoming suicide bombers is false. “It’s all a lie. Terrorists are blackmailing women into it. I’m witnessing it,” she declared. In a message to the Baloch youth, Adila urged them not to make the same mistake as her. “These actions lead only to destruction. There is nothing to gain from these activities,” she warned, advising young people to inform their parents if they ever come across such individuals. The arrest of Adila Baloch by the security forces in Turbat was hailed as a major success which shows the tireless efforts of the authorities and effective intelligence operations. According to sources, Adila was working as a nurse at Turbat University Hospital at the time of her arrest.
