India hitter Suryakumar Yadav has had a medical procedure on his crotch in Munich on January 17 for a games hernia, a condition that deteriorated over the long run and required clinical mediation. This is the second a medical procedure he has had as of late after the one for a lower leg injury he endured during India’s visit through South Africa in December.
“I need to thank everybody for their interests and kind words for my wellbeing, and I’m glad to let you know all that I will be back very soon,” he said in a post on X after the medical procedure. Suryakumar had been in Bengaluru until seven days prior for recovery for the lower leg medical procedure and he is probably going to start recovery after the crotch medical procedure in mid-February. He probably will play again in IPL 2024, which starts in the third week of March.
Suryakumar had been named India’s T20I commander for the three-match series in South Africa in Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya’s nonattendance. He scored 56 off 36 balls in the second T20I in Gqeberha on December 12 and 100 off 56 balls in the third T20I in Johannesburg on December 14.While he was not piece of India’s ODI crew for the ensuing three-match series in South Africa, he was inaccessible for determination for the new T20I series at home against Afghanistan as a result of his wounds.
In their final T20I series before the 2024 T20 World Cup, which begins in June in the USA and the West Indies, India defeated Afghanistan 3-0. The last match of the series in Bengaluru was the main T20 global in history to be chosen after two Super Overs.
