COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Women will feature in a two-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series against Ireland starting on August 11.
Ranked No. 7 in the ICC Women’s T20I Team Rankings, Sri Lanka will take on No. 10 Ireland in a two-match T20I series.
The islanders are fresh off their first ever triumph in the Asian Cup. They beat India by eight wickets in the final. The matches will give Sri Lanka much-needed game time in preparation for the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
The two T20Is will be followed by a three-match ODI series on August 16.
The ODI games will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25.
In the four ODI encounters between the two sides, Sri Lanka have won three matches, with one match ending in no result. In T20Is, Sri Lanka have an unblemished record with three wins from three matches.
