In order to provide a distinctive gaming experience, Sony is working to make its PlayStation virtual reality headset compatible with PCs. The business stated that it was “currently testing the ability for PS VR2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PS VR2 titles available through PS5.”
With its planned release later this year, Sony hopes to satisfy the demands of players who had been turning to SteamVR for PC gaming.
Since the platform’s launch, the business has only launched three VR experiences; no further games have been announced as of yet.
As a result, there is a small selection of games available for the VR headset, and well-known game developers have not indicated that they plan to create PS VR2 versions of their works.
On the other hand, players will be able to access a larger library of games, including highly anticipated titles like Half Life: Alyx, on a headset featuring superior dual OLED displays thanks to PC compatibility. Then, via a web browser, gamers might also be able to access Xbox Cloud Gaming.
