Police in the capital Islamabad have arrested six outlaws, including two professional beggars, from different areas of the city in the past 24 hours and seized drugs and weapons from them, a public relations official said.
He said that the police of the capital city Islamabad has intensified its crackdown on criminal elements to eliminate crime from the city.
Aabpara police team arrested the accused namely Iltaja Haider and recovered one 9mm pistol with cartridges from him. Khanna police team arrested the accused namely Muhammad Faizan and recovered one dagger from his possession.
Similarly, the Koral police team arrested a lady accused, namely Nilam Bibi, involved in drug smuggling and recovered 4,975 grams of heroin from her possession. The Lohi Bher police team arrested the accused namely Ehtisham Muzzaffar and recovered 20 liters of liquor from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During the crackdown on professional beggars, teams of the capital Islamabad police arrested two professional beggars and registered cases against them under the Beggars Act.
Senior police officers have directed police officials to further intensify the crackdown against criminal elements. “The safety and security of citizens is our top priority and no laxity in this regard will be tolerated.
