Former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry requested leniency during the hearing of the contempt of Election Commission case.
A four-member bench of the Election Commission, headed by Sindh member Nisar Durrani, conducted the hearing where Fawad Chaudhry appeared. During the proceedings, Fawad stated, “I have apologized in all three cases and submitted written apologies as well.”
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa member Justice Ikramullah remarked, “Today, the charges are to be framed.” Fawad pleaded, “Sir, please forgive me.”
The commission member questioned, “Do you continue to make the same statements outside, or has there been a change?” Fawad responded humorously, “These days, you aren’t paying attention; you forget others’ remarks but remember mine.”
The member noted that witnesses in the case were present to mark their attendance. The commission then adjourned the case until December 10.
