Former New Zealand cricketer and renowned commentator Simon Doull has backed Pakistan’s strategy in their chase against Canada on Tuesday.
Pakistan, who are sure to win the T20 World Cup 2024, scored 107 runs in 17.3 overs with seven wickets in hand.
“We’ve seen some aggressive intent from Pakistan, but it’s very difficult to play linearly on the pitch and timing. Those two points first are key for them and you don’t give away your wickets and let Canada back in the game,” Doull said.
Doull also emphasized the importance of a clean run ahead of the match between India and USA in New York today.
“They did it by 15 wickets, which will increase their run rate and India can win against USA. After that, at the end of tomorrow, Pakistan and USA can be in the same situation,” he said.
This is Pakistan’s first since the losses against USA and India.
With one more game to play, still other results in mind, how can Pakistan qualify for the Super 8 round of the T20 World Cup?
