Beijing: Minister of State for IT and Telecommunications Shaza Fatima Khawaja arrived on Monday to attend the Global Digital Economy Conference (GDEC) 2024 which will be held in the Chinese capital from July 2 to 5.
The Minister was received at Beijing Capital International Airport by FU HaiFeng, Director of BIIT Beijing Digital Economy Development Center, Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary, Deputy Chief of Mission and senior officials of the Embassy of Pakistan.
The Minister of State will visit the booth of Pakistani technology companies and meet their representatives.
He will also participate in “Euro Asia Pakistan Digital Economy Forum” and participate in panel discussions.
The state minister will hold a meeting with China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT), global vice president of NXP Semiconductors and Ali Baba Group.
He led a delegation of 20 IT companies from Pakistan to develop business partnerships with Chinese companies. The 2024 Global Digital Economy Conference, which will be held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, aims to expand global cooperation in the digital economy.
