Today Pakistan is getting the honor of hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting which has been given a lot of expectations and it is said that it will have a positive impact of Pakistan on trade and peace building in the region.
In that regard the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shehbaz Sharif seems quite optimistic, while most of the political parties including the Pakistan People’s Party and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam have also declared this historic meeting as a good omen for the better future of the country.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office has said in his statement that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting will focus on economic issues, trade and mutual communication. She said that the structure and budget of the SCO will also be discussed in the conference.
The foreign ministry spokesperson said that this event is very important in the context of Pakistan’s diplomacy and the participation of the heads of member states in it is a proof of confidence in Pakistan’s actions.
Her explanation is very important that there is no plan or mutual understanding for the meeting between high ups of India and Pakistan at this time.
It should be noted that the two-day meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is starting today in Islamabad. Government leaders and delegations of other countries, including the Prime Minister of China are there to participate in the conference.

Mero service has been closed to avoid the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting, it has been decided to keep the Metro bus service closed in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
On the direction of the district administration, the metro service will be closed in the twin cities from October 14 to 17. According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch the prime ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will represent their countries.
Fool-proof security measures have also been taken on this occasion but on the occasion of this important meeting a protest has been announced by Pakistan Insaf to which the government and other political parties have appealed that Tehreek-e-Insaf on the occasion of the international summit, Should postpone this protest so that the country does not become a laughing stock. In fact these types of events determine the future paths of the nations, therefore, the leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaaf should not be sensitive to its importance and it is hoped that the announcement of postponing the protest by Tehreek-e-Insaaf will be made until these lines would published. If PTI chairman is announced to postpone the protest, it will definitely increase his political stature.
It is hoped that Tehreek-e-Insaf which believes in the politics of agitation will postpone this protest for the sake of national interests and if not, it will not prefigure well for both Tehreek-e-Insaf and the country.
As a political party it is the responsibility of every party including Tehreek-e-Insaf to put the tradition of prioritizing the country’s interests over their personal interests so that it can increase in the society and have an impact on the grass-root level.
