Islamabad: Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that seven desks have been established in the Special Investment Facilitation Agency to attract investments from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, China, European Union, USA and Far East.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad today, he said that investors from friendly countries are happy with the one window facility offered by SIFC.
He said that the UAE has announced an investment of $10 billion in Pakistan, and there is progress in investing $5 billion from Saudi Arabia. He is confident that this investment will be realized.
The Information Minister said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit China in a few days to push the Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Attaullah Tarar said that the economy of the country is declining. He said, the current account deficit and inflation have decreased and IT exports have increased. He said, the world financial institutions also recognize our economic development
The Minister of Information complained about the attitude of certain political parties, saying that their speeches were based on enmity against the country. He said that the talk of this party will not succeed and Pakistan will continue on its development path.
