TALASH: The police will use all available resources for a peaceful election in Dir Lower. Therefore, the security plan has been finalized to make the general elections peaceful throughout the district.
Ziauddin Ahmad DPO Dir Lower In order to make the general elections fool-proof, District Police Officer Lower Dir Ziauddin Ahmed has issued a press release and said that a security plan has been formed in Lower Dir district for the general elections to be held on February 8 like the rest of the country. According to which, more than four thousand police officers and personnel will be posted at 615 polling stations across the district. Under the security plan, 138 polling stations have been declared as normal, 292 as sensitive and 185 as highly sensitive polling stations. Now adequate security arrangements have been completed. During the election, the sensitive polling stations will also be monitored through CCTV cameras. Thus, in the security plan, 177 men’s polling stations and 166 women’s polling stations will be fool-proofed by officers and personnel of other units.
