Islamabad: The Embassy of Saudi Arabia has launched “The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Iftar Program” in Pakistan on the holy month of Ramadan by organizing the first Iftar program at Faisal Masjid.
The program was launched at the King Faisal Mosque in Islamabad attended by officials of the Saudi Embassy and Directors of Saudi Authorities, President of the International Islamic University, H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, other university representatives and thousands of believers from the twin cities.
After this first Iftar in Islamabad, the Embassy will continue this program daily across the country. An initiative by the KSA Ministry of Islamic Affairs sees similar events organized by its attachés in various countries during Ramadan.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by a religious attaché through the Kingdom’s embassy, organizes the iftar program every year and it has become a tradition laid down by the land of the brothers.
The citizens of the twin cities praised the excellent arrangement of Iftar at Faisal Masjid and thanked the Saudi government for showing love, care and brotherhood to the people of Pakistan. Later, officials of the Saudi Embassy, IIUI and guests offered Maghrib prayers at Faisal Masjid.
