ISLAMABAD: Salman Chaudhry PSP a Grade-21 Police officer of Police Service of Pakistan, assumed charge as Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police. He is the 22nd Inspector General of National Highways & Motorway Police. Before his posting as IG, NHMP, he was working as Additional Inspector General Police in Baluchistan. On his arrival at NHMP Headquarters in Islamabad, he was presented a Guard of Honor subsequent to which he held a brief meeting with officers of HQs. The new commander committed to resolve core issues with his best efforts and will focus on to strengthen the organization to improve public services. During his illustrious career, he undertook various important assignments. He is considered as the most professional police officer.

He lauded that National Highways and Motorway Police is a well reputed force and we have to work with more enthusiasm to enhance credibility level of this department at national & international level. He urges that I want to energize this department with the all best efforts. In his opening address he emphasized that my officers are my assets and my success is hidden in their professionalism and commitment. There is a dire need that commanding officers and field formations should work hard to focus on help culture and courtesy with the commuters.
